Baselane Works is a product studio and venture company.

We work with founders and businesses to turn valuable problems and ideas into working digital products, and we build products of our own.

The business is deliberately small, hands-on and close to the work.

We are UK-based and work with founders and businesses in the UK and internationally.

We are typically most useful to founders and small-to-medium businesses with a valuable digital product problem or opportunity, particularly when the opportunity is clearer than the right answer.

Why Baselane Works exists

Founder

Experienced. Still hands-on.

Baselane Works was founded by Paul Finegan, bringing close to two decades of product and commercial experience across startups, scale-ups and international businesses.

That experience spans new products, growth, product strategy, operating models and the practical challenge of getting teams and technology moving.

Baselane Works is intended to become a capability and reputation in its own right, not a personal consultancy.

He remains closely involved in client and venture work, supported by trusted collaborators.

Selective advisory & focused engagements

Sometimes the right answer isn't a new build.

Baselane Works also takes on a small number of focused product leadership and advisory engagements.

These tend to involve an important product, growth or delivery problem where experienced judgement and practical intervention can materially change what happens next.

They are focused engagements with a clear purpose, not open-ended capacity.
