A little more understanding at home.

Families can know one another deeply without always understanding how each person thinks, communicates or responds.

kinectr is a family personality product designed to help make those differences easier to recognise and discuss.

Short questionnaires create individual profiles and shared family insights, helping family members understand one another more clearly and start better conversations.

Baselane Works is building kinectr as an owned product with a simple aim: create something useful, warm and genuinely meaningful for families.

How it's built

Personal product. Deliberate boundaries.

Application from front to back
A React and TypeScript application with a Node and Express API connects sign-in, questionnaires, profiles, families and invitations.
Persistent product state
PostgreSQL keeps accounts, questionnaire progress, profiles and family relationships. Drizzle and explicit migrations manage how that data is stored and changed.
Deterministic where it matters
Versioned rules score questionnaires and compose individual profiles. AI does not decide a person's score or invent their individual result.
Tested as a real application
Automated checks cover application logic, PostgreSQL integration and authentication and sharing boundaries. Playwright exercises user journeys in the browser.

Dayinsure

Turning a broad product agenda into commercial momentum.

Dayinsure is a specialist provider of temporary motor insurance.

Baselane Works has worked across product strategy, growth, digital experience and delivery, helping clarify where value sits and move a broad portfolio of product opportunities forward.

The work has included shaping product and app strategy, improving customer journeys, identifying growth opportunities and helping product and engineering teams work with greater clarity and momentum.

Rather than separating strategy from execution, the focus has been on making better product decisions and helping those decisions turn into delivered change.

Toyota Connected Europe

Turning complex opportunities into tangible capability.

Inside a global mobility business, new product, data and AI opportunities can involve significant technical, commercial and organisational complexity.

Baselane Works supported Toyota Connected Europe in shaping early opportunities, developing the case for investment and helping move selected initiatives from concept towards working product and technology capability.

The work required commercial product judgement, cross-functional leadership and a practical understanding of how to make progress inside a complex international organisation.

ballnbox

A ball. A box. Anywhere.

ballnbox is a deliberately simple browser game about getting a ball into a box.

Baselane Works built it, launched it and keeps evolving it in public. It is a small example of the same habit behind the rest of our work: make something real, put it in people's hands and learn what happens.

Because not everything needs to be serious.

Small game. Real product infrastructure.

Static by default
The game is static software deployed through Cloudflare Pages, with no application framework or frontend server runtime.
Serverless where needed
A separate Cloudflare Worker and D1 database store and validate scores and Daily Box attempts, supporting shared leaderboards and ranked play.
Shipping through GitHub
Pull requests run automated unit and integration checks, with targeted browser regression tests for gameplay and product changes.
Production is automated
Backend changes merged to main trigger GitHub Actions to test the Worker, apply database migrations, deploy it and smoke-test the live API.
